2023 COSTAR GROUP CASH PRIZE OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE COSTAR GROUP CASH PRIZE SWEEPSTAKES (“SWEEPSTAKES”). A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Subject to federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. Void in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Military Installations located in foreign countries, and where prohibited by law.

ELIGIBILITY: The sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. residents currently residing in the 50 United States including the District of Columbia who are the age of majority or older as of the date of entry and who are members of, or participants in, the commercial real estate industry as a broker/agent, commercial property owner/investor, developer, property/asset manager, or a decision maker in the property advertising plans, and who are attending the ICSC 2023 Las Vegas conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Participants must also hold a valid driver’s license at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor or Sponsor’s parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment, and marketing agencies, and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings and children, regardless of where they live) and those living in the same household are not eligible to enter or win. Employees, officers and directors of competitors of Sponsor or Sponsor’s affiliates are not eligible to enter or win. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of winners.
HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) methods to enter the Sweepstakes: 1) Register for a meeting and attend the meeting at the CoStar Group booth 1035 during ICSC 2023 New York at the Javits Center on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST or Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM EST and 2) Going to the CoStar Group Booth 1035 and filling out the form during exposition hours. You have a maximum number of one (1) entry per person from each method of entry described above, for a total of two (2) entries. In order for an Entry to be valid, the Entry must be completed in full and all information provided must be truthful. CoStar is not responsible for lost, misdirected, false, corrupted, illegible or late entries. CoStar shall have the sole discretion to determine the validity of an Entry. All potential winners are subject to verification before any prize will be awarded. Automated or bulk entries or entries submitted by third parties will be disqualified. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted or untimely entries are void and will be disqualified. LIMIT TWO (2) ENTRIES TOTAL PER PERSON. ADDITIONAL ENTRIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
GRAND PRIZE: One Grand Prize of $10,000 cash will be awarded to one eligible entrant, based upon a random draw from all entries to be held at approximately 12:00 PM EST, Thursday, December 7, 2023 at booth 1035. The winner will be notified by live announcement at that time. The odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.
Winner will be required to respond to prize notification within 60 seconds of notification or other time period for response set forth in the notification. If a potential winner fails to respond in time or is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the prize to an alternate winner selected by random draw from all remaining entries. Winner agrees to furnish any documentation requested by Sponsor in connection with the awarding of the Grand Prize, including travel documents, releases, and affidavit of eligibility. All prizes will be awarded. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions are allowed except by Sponsor who may award a prize for one of comparable or greater value for any reason. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable income or local personal property taxes, insurance, licensing, registration and title fees. Winner will, if applicable, be issued a 1099 form from the Internal Revenue Service for any prize greater than $600. Winner may be required to show proof of and provide a copy of insurance and a valid driver’s license prior to taking delivery and pick up vehicle as directed by Sponsor. By accepting the prize, winner agrees to make a public appearance, at Sponsor’s request and expense, and further grants permission to Sponsor to use winner’s name (both individual name and employer/company name), voice, likeness, and statements for publicity purposes without further compensation, consideration or consent, except where prohibited by law. By entering this Sweepstakes, each participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each participant also represents that there is no legal or contractual restriction barring participation, including, without limitation, any restriction from participant’s employer or company.
GENERAL CONDITIONS. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. IF, FOR ANY REASON, THE SWEEPSTAKES IS NOT CAPABLE OF RUNNING AS PLANNED, COSTAR RESERVES THE RIGHT AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION TO CANCEL, TERMINATE, MODIFY OR SUSPEND THE SWEEPSTAKES AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE OR OBLIGATION. COSTAR SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INCORRECT OR INACCURATE INFORMATION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY TECHNICAL OR HUMAN ERROR WHICH MAY OCCUR IN THE PROCESSING OF SUBMISSIONS IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the entry process or the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. By participating in the Sweepstakes, all participants agree that the state and federal courts located in the District of Columbia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over claims arising out of the Sweepstakes and matters related thereto, and that all participants agree to the venue and jurisdiction of such District of Columbia courts.
RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, and all officers, directors, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) errors on Sponsor’s website; (c) lost, delayed, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable communications; or (d) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries. Participants agree that Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, and those acting pursuant to its authority: (1) except where prohibited by law, shall have the right and permission to print, publish, broadcast, and use worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, at any time or times, the winner's name (both individual name and employer/company name), portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes (including the announcement of his or her name on television or radio broadcast) without further consideration, compensation, permission, or notification, and (2) that the aforementioned parties and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents and their advertising and promotional agencies, and legal counsel shall have no liability whatsoever for, and will be held harmless by participants, against any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to participants or any other person or entity, including personal injury or death to winner or any other person or damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize, entry, or participation in this promotion or in any promotion-related activity, or any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy or merchandise delivery. Participant further agrees that, in any cause of action, Sponsors' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, if any, and in no event shall the Sponsor be liable for attorney's fees. Without limiting the foregoing, everything regarding this Sweepstakes, including the web site and any prize, is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions may not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages or exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply. Check local laws for any restrictions or limitations regarding these limitations or exclusions.
PRIVACY: Information collected from participants is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at http://www.costar.com/about/privacy-policy. Sponsor and Sponsor’s agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives or service providers may use participants’ and/or referrals’ personal information submitted with entry for purposes of prize fulfillment and/or for future marketing by Sponsor, such as to notify them of a product or promotion that Sponsor thinks may be of interest.
